We had the most stunning lunch here for our anniversary. The team were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and the food surpassed some of the eateries we'd visited in Wellington and Australia (I've had my fill of poorly cooked squid). All the ingredients tasted fresh and were expertly prepared. We were too full for dessert this time, but we're definitely returning to sample the delectable options.
One of the finest meals I enjoyed in Christchurch and my most memorable night during my holiday there. The most welcoming staff. The food was exceptional. The squid with mashed butter beans is now my go-to dish. Absolutely incredible. A definite must-try. Pair it with the freshly baked sourdough. The rocket and aniseed salad was good but I might have made a wrong choice. The pear in the salad didn’t quite work for me. Perhaps it wasn’t ripe enough. Impressive wine selection but I'd appreciate more local wines available by the glass. And perhaps some local cheese choices.
Ideal night out with a partner or friends. Fantastic food and service. A plethora of gluten-free choices - an entire menu tailored to my dietary requirements! We will certainly revisit 🤍 a big thank you to everyone there yesterday for making our first evening in Christchurch so scrumptious!
