I urgently needed a keratin treatment for a performance, but my usual hairdresser was fully booked for the next fortnight. I've been loyal to my hairdresser for over two years now because I struggle to trust any other stylist not to chop off too much and allow me to maintain my long hair. I was transparent with Karen about the need for a low-maintenance keratin treatment for my performances, my time constraints, and my trust issues. Karen took her time to ensure I was comfortable, explaining her process, the reasons behind it, and how to care for my hair. Her hairdressing skills are truly remarkable. I have Cook Island Māori hair that tends to frizz, and I'm certain I was mistaken for a different ethnicity due to how smooth and glossy my hair looks now 🥰.
