I booked in to get a Keratin treatment on Friday afternoon at the Grey Lynn branch. The communication on arrival was very minimal. I believe that I was given hair straightening with much stronger chemicals instead of Keratin or that the treatment was not done correctly. After the first application, it was washed out very quickly, when I asked why, my hairdresser said it was because my hair was too dry. My hair was not too dry to start with and Keratin has never dried it out before. Also at the end of the treatment, the product was washed out entirely instead of only partially washed out. The hairdresser put a conditioning treatment through my hair before letting me go, because it was so dry. I should have questioned more, but it's very difficult to do so when your hair is in someone else hands. I've had to go to my regular hairdresser and buy nearly $100 of products to keep my fried hair in decent condition. It is dried out, the colour is faded, and it's frizzy in the middle with some breakage at the back. My hairdresser was surprised at how dry it now is. I attempted to leave a message on Instagram, but it did not allow this. The treatment took 4 1/2 hours instead of 3 hours. I would not recommend this hairdresser for this treatment. The manicure felt rushed, lasting less than 10 minutes, yet I was charged the full price. The quality of the manicure was subpar. If the salon is fully booked, I recommend avoiding walk-ins to ensure each client receives the complete service they deserve. Quite let down. I've been a loyal customer for a year, couldn't make an appointment due to illness (didn't want to spread anything). When trying to reschedule, I was willing to pay a late cancellation fee, but was surprised that it amounted to the full appointment cost.
Despite this, my brows have always looked amazing, and the attendant I see is very kind.
Just wish there was more consideration for regular clients - so, for excellent brows, but don't fall ill (or perhaps go in sick?). I won't return as I can't afford that risk!About

My experience might be a tad different from others as I came in as a hair model for the wonderful Harper.
She displayed her vision and made sure I was comfortable with it throughout the process, asking for my input, even though I was there as a model for her to have full creative freedom.
She crafted such a stunning look and kept me well informed on how to care for my hair properly after transitioning from dark brown to blonde. I was invited to come back as a model for another style which was also fantastic! And once again, she ensured I was comfortable with it throughout the entire process!
Later on, I was given the choice to change my hair to anything I desired after my time as a hair model, and I returned to my natural hair colour, the colour match is incredible! No distinction between the previously blonde hair and regrowth!!
I had never been to a salon before to get my hair done, and Harper and the crew made it such a wonderful experience 🥰About
