Decent variety of products but the customer service was abysmal. No one seemed interested in assisting customers. All three employees were too busy chatting amongst themselves to help those in need of guidance.
I lodged a formal complaint with the competition watchdog about this business. Yesterday, I purchased some snacks and overheard a staff member informing other customers about a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Unsure if it applied to me, I returned today to buy more snacks and was verbally offered the same deal. When I inquired why I hadn't been informed of this offer yesterday and why I had paid full price, a team member, possibly a manager, conversed in Chinese with colleagues. No one offered assistance or clarification, simply avoiding us and continuing their discussion. The lack of customer service was rude, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. It appears they selectively apply this deal as it is not advertised in the store, which may be against New Zealand law. They must remember to adhere to local regulations and conduct business ethically.
