I arrived at Otautahi Tattoo on April 14, 2023 to get my initial skin art at the age of 50. I couldn’t leave New Zealand without etching a mark of my journey on these two islands.
This was my premier skin art, a striking forearm masterpiece crafted by Tama, top-notch fella and genuinely kind, the lone downside is the cost. Initially quoted at $2950, managed to negotiate it down to $2500. (All I’ve asked said I got swindled) I grasped the pricing layout to be $650 per hand size, but what I didn’t foresee was that the hands would be the size of a wee child. I would 100% revisit the same artisan but not the same studio if it’s at that rate.
