A female staff member in the timber yard was unhelpful and showed no effort to assist. I provided feedback through the receipt code but never received a response. I will be shopping at Bunnings whenever possible.
Despite the Christmas rush, Mitre Ten staff always manage to assist promptly. I was holding a Christmas tree at the end of a line when a staff member noticed and directed me to an available counter near the exit. Friendly service like this is what keeps customers returning. Mitre Ten has a winning formula.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the kitchen department here in Wellington, we had our initial meeting in April and now it's almost December. We only ordered a part of the kitchen, the products and the builder were fine. However, the person we dealt with was inexperienced and didn't provide helpful suggestions. For instance, in the first photo, we could have had a wider cupboard. We extended it by 100mm, but we could have gone another 100mm for better utility. Since she left, we haven't heard from them. I had to call about the kickboards, which were sent too short to be used. Thank goodness for our builder who has been fantastic. Kitchen department, get your act together.
