What a delightful surprise, visited on a Friday and the cuisine was exceptional compared to my previous experience. Opted for the fillet mignon again, requested the sauce on the side, and the presentation was impeccable. My companion savored the surf and turf and found it to be exquisite. The creme brulee was consistently amazing. A truly luxurious dining experience.
The pricing of the dishes here is quite inflated. $26 for a duo of minuscule Chicken skewers and $23 for a mere 5 pieces of lukewarm Camembert, items that can be acquired for $2 at Gilmours. The quality of the food does not align with the prices, and improvements are necessary swiftly. While the service was satisfactory, I doubt I will revisit in the future, which is disheartening as I typically enjoy supporting local members of the NZ Hospitality industry. Regrettably, this establishment falls towards the lower end of pubs in Tauranga.
After a demanding day, it's a pleasure to unwind in a cozy nook with sports playing softly in the background and a refreshing drink in hand. The portions were just right, not overly filling like many places tend to be nowadays. A laid-back spot to unwind without any pressure, simply allowing for relaxation.
