I always eagerly anticipate my hair appointments with Emma M. She is a hair sorceress and understands what suits my hair. I have been fortunate to have the other ladies work on my hair over the years as well. They are all exceptional and skilled at their craft. The salon is delightful and serene, with a complimentary beverage while you're pampering your hair too!
Emma is fantastic, wouldn’t choose anywhere else for a haircut. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent coffee and styles for days!
I do believe the hairdressers here are good, just dissatisfied with my visit today. My initial visit, I opted for a fringe trim. The woman on the phone mentioned it was $10, yet I ended up paying $20. Did not mention anything while paying but it did not sit well with me. Skip to my most recent visit, I scheduled the appointment over the phone for a wash, cut & dry and I informed the stylist about the fringe trim incident, so I wanted a fixed price for a cut. She mentioned "it's usually $95 but I'm willing to give you a deal if you just want a quick wash, cut & dry, no elaborate styling for $80/$85. I'll just give you a call a few days prior to the appointment to confirm". I thought; fantastic. 4 days before the appointment, no call so I contacted them. I spoke to another lady, requesting to verify the price and she said she was unaware of it so she would have the stylist contact me. I did not receive a call. So today, I arrive and my stylist asks "what are we doing today?" And I respond "the wash, cut, dry...". She replies "well, we can't do all that because I gave you a discount" so I said "sure, I understand, just whatever you can manage then". Thus, I ended up with a dry cut which was only a half-hour appointment for $75- the standard price. It's quite frustrating when you book in at this upscale salon, and depart with messy, unstyled hair, walking out looking the same. It really defeats the purpose of indulging in getting your hair done. It's also the second time I have tried to be clear in advance about pricing so I can plan accordingly, but they have been very inconsistent with me. I did not request the deal, it was offered to me, then they did not uphold it. Poor business in my view.
