The pedicure was decent, using only gel. However, the issue arose with the manicure. I usually opt for SNS nails. They suggested SNS clear base with gel on top. Unfortunately, the SNS wasn't filed smoothly or the edges weren't trimmed near the cuticles. The gel coating was thick, uneven, and didn't cover the tips completely. It started chipping off before I even reached home. I wouldn't suggest this place!
I visited the top floor spot in Riccarton mall with my cousin. I desired infills with a white base and sparkly polish on top. The service we received was terribly disappointing, as the lady who started doing my nails switched with another within just 10 minutes! It felt quite unhygienic. She accidentally cut me multiple times with the drill and didn't even offer an apology, while also applying too many layers of gel and leaving them under the light curer for excessive times (30s, 45s, or even 120s without informing me when to remove my hand, causing over-curing). This resulted in my nails having a yellowish tint under certain lighting. Furthermore, she didn't bother to clean out the dust and hair trapped in the polish, leaving my nails looking messy. The edges were left uneven and unpainted, making them appear rough. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time and money here if you seek satisfaction.
I usually frequent the Northlands branch, but I found the staff at Riccarton to be extremely friendly, helpful, and honest about their design capabilities. I'll definitely be returning soon for another awesome design 😎
