The barber paid close attention to detail, which I appreciated. To top it off, the price for the services rendered was surprisingly low. I popped in for a snip. Waited a good half hour. Charmaine assured me my hair would hit my shoulders when straightened. Couldn't stick around for the blow wave due to the delay. Hair ended up way above my shoulder. Ugh. Disappointed. But!! Checked it out in the mirror when dry, and it looks amazing. Got that curlyish bob I've always wanted and previous hairdressers never quite got right. So thanks Charmaine! 🤣👍

I took my lad here for his debut hair snip, and Nirvara was so patient and fantastic with him (as it was his first cut and he is only 1.5yo, a tad scared, etc.) and he managed it so well! We departed with a superb snip, and we were truly content with the service. I've been seeing Jemima for years and always feel like a Kiwi bloke after my haircut. And the yarns whilst there are always choice. I have just read the one star review posted 3 weeks ago. I was actually there for the whole korero between Jemima and the reviewer. Jemima was polite and perfectly within her rights to decline to cut the reviewer's hair. My boy got a slick High School Fade today (Sunday 30/06/24). Didn't catch the barber's name, but he was the absolute legend! Nailed the fade on my son. We've tried 5 barbers in the past year, and he's never been happier than when he left Musa's Barber Mairehau today. He's been grinning ear to ear since. Growing a mullet, he wanted the top trimmed and the sides faded. The barber got it spot on, a solid 10/10.
