Absolutely fantastic from the moment we stepped through the entrance. Welcoming, friendly team, just incredibly warm and relaxed. Tane was outstanding. Can't praise the team enough. Patient and informative with excellent guidance. We cycled to Clyde. I rode a standard bike, my partner on an e-bike. Both bikes were a breeze to ride, no issues at all. Seemed to be top-notch quality. The trail itself is breathtaking. Starts with gentle slopes offering stunning vistas. We paused at Carrick Winery for hydration and an energy boost, and from there, the scenery only improved. We were lucky to catch the final day of Coffee Afloat, the coffee boat at the midway point, before their winter hiatus. Lovely people and their amicable dog, Hitch. Recharged with a fruit/veggie drink before tackling the switchbacks. As promised, the views were awe-inspiring. Clyde is a charming little town. We made a pit stop at The Merchant of Clyde for some delicious fare and coffee. Tane waited patiently for our group to return to their van and pick-up spot.
Had a fantastic bike ride on the Dunstable trail today from Clyde to Cromwell. It all began with arranging bike rentals with Hine, she was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for a delightful ride. Our bikes were in impeccable shape, and exceptionally well looked after. Hine made sure they were adjusted to fit us before we set off. Hine suggested we start in Clyde and tackle the steepest section of the ride while we were still fresh. We really appreciated this advice. The ride was enjoyable and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Stopping for a drink at the floating cafe was a much-needed break, and we savored lunch on our way back. A truly wonderful day.
Incredible adventure! The trail is absolutely stunning, definitely a must-do. Guide is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We opted for E-bikes and it was a great decision. Bikes were in great condition and perfect for the trail (loved the storage bag on the bike). Will definitely be using this service again.
