Enjoyed a good meal, although the steak was unevenly cooked – one end was overdone for me while the other was just right. Despite this, it was still very satisfying. There was a large group ahead of us, so we had to wait a bit longer.
Waited 35 minutes for our food. The first dish to arrive was the sirloin steak I ordered as medium rare, but it turned out to be well done and slightly burnt. I spent more time chewing than savoring it, unfortunately. Next was my partner's chicken sandwich, more like "chicken on toast" than a proper sandwich. Then came my $24.50 BBC burger, which disappointingly had only a tiny piece of bacon and a burnt patty. Finally, my partner's kahuna burger arrived, which he found okay. The overall dining experience could have been better, especially after such a long wait. I don't mind waiting for food, but it should be worth the wait.
Just celebrated my Mum's 90th birthday. New Zealand is a fantastic place for families with young children, offering a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were delightful, friendly, and helpful. The food was excellent, and we all enjoyed a lovely lunch together 😁💖
