My Three Daughters and I had a fantastic morning here! We learned so much and really enjoyed the Team talking to us about some fascinating history behind the aircraft and other machinery and equipment they have there. Highly recommended and we will return!
For what these folk are striving for, you have to give them credit. There's some cool stuff here, including a restored ex RNZAF TBF Avenger, Bristol Hercules engine, and an airworthy Tiger Moth. The volunteers here are really intriguing to chat with, sharing some awesome tales about the local area and Aviation in general.
My daughter was really excited about this and she wasn't let down. Her and her friend sat in the cockpit for about half an hour having fun in there. Cheers Tairawhaiti
