Teina's sent me a reminder text the day before my appointment. I traveled 45 minutes, including a ferry ride, to make it to my 9 a.m. slot punctually, only to be informed that insufficient time had been allocated for me. As a loyal client for a while now, I was shocked when Tamati, the owner, suggested I either wait or reschedule due to a booking error. The colorist was occupied with another client. What kind of unprofessional establishment fails to communicate such a mistake to the client? When I confronted Tamati, she felt "unsafe" and asked me to leave. No follow-up call was made upon realizing the oversight. How thoughtless! Tamati, this is not how you treat your clients. Utterly disrespectful! I had been advised to try Exhibit Hair in Waipapa some time ago, but out of loyalty, I stuck with Teina's - not anymore! Farewell.
I wanted to share my experience getting my hair styled here, but sadly, they don't respond to any messages. Their website is down, emails go unanswered, the contact form is ignored, social media messages are left hanging, and calls are never picked up. It seems like they aren't interested in new clients. If this is their way of operating, I don't feel comfortable trusting them with my hair. I look forward to the influx of Wellingtonians who will bring a more professional approach to business compared to what I've seen in Whangarei.
I recently visited Teina's for a haircut and was let down by the outcome. The owner intervened and instructed my hairdresser on how to proceed, which didn't sit well with me as a customer. It cast doubts on the qualifications of my hairdresser, even though she was skilled. This experience has deterred me from returning.
