Today I travelled up to Wellington for an important wedding in the morning and needed to look slick, looked around for a good Barber shop and after checking out two in the town found Chop Shop, 3rd time lucky. The catch? Only the apprentice was available. I rolled the dice, paid the fee, took my chances and man am I stoked! If the apprentice is that good, then the rest of the crew must be Final Boss level. From now on, If I'm traveling through Wellington I'm going to treat myself to a cut. My only regret is that I didn't tip the cadet, she deserved it, There was a hassle with the paywave (my fault) but they still came through for me. Highly recommend.
I booked an appointment online as I travelled from outside Wellington. I arrived ten minutes early and saw a walk in customer being taken for a cut and I was then told they couldn’t see me today. When I asked what was the point of booking online and said my buzz cut wouldn’t take long I was told not to be aggressive and don’t tell her how to do her job. Finally this disgruntled barber said I might be able to fit you in an hour later than I had booked. This wasn’t possible as I needed to be at another appointment. I don’t feel complaining about my booking being cancelled was rude, but she was definitely annoyed, rude and aggressive so I went to J's barber shop in Wellington who was polite and great service and great cut and said she would fit me in as it wasn’t a big job.
Walked in off the street looking dusty as ever. Fletcher the young fulla fit me in for a cut last minute on a Friday. Left feeling fresh with a clean skinfade. Fletcher was real passionate about cutting 10/10
