01/03/2024 I requested a trim today at about 2:00 pm on my hair and showed her the photo and she agreed. I said just straight short cut. The initial cut was too bad it’s not straight and while I understand that she can’t speak much English that’s okay I asked for someone who can check on her work as I was trying to say it’s not straight and she cut way too short already, she’s already going to blow dry it. I asked her colleague very calmly “do you think she did a good job” she said “no” and spoke in their own language as she was trying to explain to the one that cut my hair maybe how to repair it. I still ended up crying while paying $40 on my trim on the counter.About

Response to establishment: no remorse and no responsibility. As a fellow business owner, it's disheartening to witness. Simply put, it's standard procedure that when doing a perm and trim, the haircut should come after. He's not one to seek conflict, but as a hair salon, this should be common knowledge. Why would anyone want half of their head to remain straight after a perm? Before the treatment, his hair length was sufficient for perming. I'm deducting another star due to the lackluster reply.About

Walking into Harmony @ Westfield Auckland is like coming home or visiting a friend's place. The team there (Kahu, Te Aroha & Aroha) are the only ones I trust with my hair. They're open to trying new things, but if something won't work or suit me, they're honest about it. About 9 years ago, I visited every salon in Auckland Mall asking to go from dark brown to blonde. One salon quoted me around $600 for blonde highlights because they thought maintaining Blonde Hair would be too difficult. Another salon had sky-high prices, but Harmony was the friendliest, most affordable, and actually listened to what I wanted, even making sure I had the right products to take home. Since then, I haven't gone anywhere else. From copper to blonde to black to blonde to pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month to copper again, my hair has been through a lot but remains healthy, soft, and well-maintained. The team at Harmony Auckland truly feels like family. Thank you, wonderful people!
