Even though I understand our health system is strained, I am genuinely grateful for the promptness with which my son received urgent medical attention for his dislocated knee. The nurses and doctors were exceptional. The doctor scheduled a follow-up appointment for 3 days later, then swiftly arranged an ultrasound scan, provided us with a repeat prescription for medication, and ensured our referral to the specialist was expedited. While my son awaits this specialist appointment, I am aware that Rotorua Medical Centre did everything possible for him in a very timely manner. Thank you.
Absolutely top-notch team. Never faced a problem, my GP always got in touch with me or had a nurse reach out to ensure I was alright, especially when commencing new meds or requiring bloodwork or scans.
Rotorua medical is the biggest joke modern healthcare has ever seen. It is nearly impossible to secure an appointment that isn’t in 3 weeks. The majority of healthcare providers are very rude and condescending and literally search your symptoms online in front of you, something I could have easily done myself. I don’t recall ever leaving this place with a satisfactory answer because "young people are healthy" and supposedly can't be unwell, right? That seems to be the belief of these healthcare providers. Or maybe it's just a lack of skill. Regardless, Rotorua medical is a sluggish, inefficient establishment with impolite staff and wait times exceeding 3 hours. You'll feel incredibly unwelcome upon entering the premises. Avoid this place.
