I am let down by the click and collect and delivery services offered by this store (New World Masterton). I face mobility challenges, but I do have a vehicle. Initially, I thought I could utilize the click and collect service as navigating a large supermarket store is too difficult for me. However, at New World Masterton, there are rarely any disabled parking spots close enough as the click and collect groceries must be picked up from the service desk inside the store. When I attempted delivery, my groceries were simply left on my doorstep without even a knock, despite me being at home. The first time this occurred, I contacted the store to request assistance from the delivery person in bringing in the heavier items and handing me the rest, so I wouldn't have to bend down to retrieve them from outside. Unfortunately, the second delivery was just as disappointing, so I am switching to Woolworths. Before relocating to Masterton, I resided in Hamilton, where New World Hillcrest provided excellent service. They had a designated Click & Collect area where cars could drive up, and the staff always helped carry my groceries to my car trunk. If I opted for delivery, the delivery person would knock on my door and assist me with bringing in my groceries. I had hoped for a similar experience at New World Masterton, but sadly, that is not the case.
The management of the carpark has improved significantly under your control. It would be beneficial to update the message on the self-service machines as flybuys are no longer in operation. The scones are fantastic, and the store always looks impeccable.
I am dismayed by the parking charges at this car park, even for customers who have paid. They are asking for an unreasonable $65 for even a slight overstay, and the signage is very unclear.
