I've found the team at the Ministry to be caring, super efficient, and supportive. They assisted me with financing alongside a resource consent request to prune a protected tree on my land. All of the Ministry team members involved kept me updated, provided advice, and some truly went above and beyond for me - which I am truly grateful for.
Let's hope we see a more bike-friendly city with shared paths or cycle lanes connecting schools and linking up with rural trails. The bike stand outside the ministry is probably the tiniest one I've ever come across. It would be fantastic to have a large sheltered rack in front, to keep bikes dry and encourage folks to consider cycling to the government office!
I sent an email to the ministry and received a rather impolite reply. It's important to have good interpersonal skills or undergo training for this individual. They know who they are. Next time, when someone seeks information on a topic, it's crucial to be mindful of how you interact with them. Negative word of mouth can deter people.
