A valuable experience. Quite intriguing for adults and children. A tad small for a 'National Aquarium', but we are a petite nation. As others have mentioned, the turtle enclosure also appears quite diminutive. Ample parking and proximity to the beach with lovely vistas.
Secured a 50% discounted ticket from BookMe, just $13.50. Last admission at 4:30 pm. My primary goal was to witness the charming little penguins, particularly during feeding times at 9:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:30 pm. You can also catch a glimpse of the kiwi bird here; it's quite lively and surprisingly large, almost like a basketball! There's a sea turtle present as well, but the tanks seem a bit cramped for such a sizable creature. While the aquarium isn't particularly vast compared to those in other countries, it's still worth a visit for the kiwi bird and penguins. I spent about 2 hours exploring the aquarium. The gift shop offers a plethora of cute marine animal and kiwi soft toys, along with other intriguing souvenirs.
We found the admission price to be reasonable, and there was plenty to explore. Our favorite part was going on the conveyor beneath the water. There's a decent variety of animals and informative displays about each one. Ideal for children, definitely a worthwhile stop if you have the time.
