I had a hairdresser as a best mate since I was a teenager and she followed me wherever I went for about ten years I was so lucky! But when I returned to TΔmaki Makaurau I was lost without her and she suggested I visit Pounamu because that's where her mum started going. It's absolutely wonderful, the stylists are all wonderful, kind individuals with many years of expertise. You always feel confident that you're in good hands regardless of the stylist, although I have really connected with Mia, we have fantastic sessions together and always try something different and it always turns out great! My experience is always tailored to my needs, whether I want a peaceful time or a chatty catch-up. A true feeling of community in a salon. She's highly professional and knowledgeable. My hair was severely damaged from excessive straightening, and Charlotte knew exactly how to revive it and provided me with excellent tips for maintaining it at home. I started seeing remarkable results within a couple of weeks after the treatment. Ages ago I got a hair trim here, it was the worst experience ever and very awkward for me. I reserved a week beforehand and arrived early they attempted to say I didn't book an appointment but I told them yes I did they kept saying I didn't but then found my name in their book.
