Disrespectful to patrons, subpar quality of work and professionalism. Double-booking appointments and blaming clients. Utterly unprofessional. Mishandled lash applications resulting in glued eyes, clients bleeding from threading, and rough pedicure leading to cut cuticles. Additionally, in New Zealand, the expectation is to converse in ENGLISH, not in-store language. If possible, I'd rate you a negative 10. Opted for a simple black gel manicure and it turned out fantastic. One of my nails had a slight separation from the nail bed, and the nail technician handling my manicure was very gentle with it. I appreciated the thoroughness of her work. I've noticed that larger chain salons tend to rush through manicures and pedicures, which has left me with damaged and sometimes even painful or bleeding nail beds in the past. This salon was a breath of fresh air! No discomfort after the manicure, very attentive service while still being efficient with time. The nail technician was also really pleasant. I plan on returning for a pedicure later today. The pricing is also noteworthy; the quality of gel manicures here surpasses the places I've frequented before, and they offer combo prices for manicures/pedicures which is fantastic. After a disappointing visit to Kaitaia, I decided to try out Bay Nails. The staff were welcoming and flexible. Received a fantastic standard manicure and pedicure, with the added bonus of a soothing hot stone massage during the pedicure. I have been going to Hine for years. She is amazing. She always takes the time to ensure my lashes, brows, and nails are done perfectly (unlike other nail salons that rush it). Her work is always exceptional. 100/10. Highly recommend 👌

Came here to do full face wax. I normally come here because she’s good with my brows, but my recent visit. The lady asked what I wanted done so said full face. She said to me “I’m very busy today, I normally only do eyebrows or upper lip, I’m very busy to do full face” and bragged on saying I’ll only do parts that need doing. It didn’t quite hit me until she started working on my face that I was heating up with anger. Showed her hunger for money.
