I reckon it's absolutely shocking that the Dr my mum saw "forgot" to send a referral for a scan they talked about at a previous appointment. Then when she brought it up again, it was like "oh what scan?" Don't you folks make notes on your patients' file? So if she didn't see the Dr again, it would have been forgotten, and she would be waiting for a missed scan. Not cool. It makes me fret for other patients too. So, for other patients waiting on scan requests, please ensure it's being actioned.
Darrell is a top-notch doctor, the nurses are lovely, but reception can be a bit grumpy at times, but it's understandable.
Today, I attended my appointment that took o'er 2 weeks to secure, logged in using the new electronic system, and waited. I waited 45 minutes before approaching the front desk only to be advised that the Dr was not in that day and I should have received a text (which clearly I did not!) When I queried staff why I wasn't notified when I signed in, I was told the electronic log-in system wasn't linked to that information. It felt like I was causing a fuss for no reason. I wasn't offered another appointment.
