Needed rear windscreen replaced urgently as my vehicle is the only one i have for work and schooling for kids. 3 different businesses 1. Couldn't make it down for another few weeks. 2. This business is 45min drive away had to drive their for temporary cover and appt was for 8 days later. 3. Opotiki glass center was the very next day! Went on on a Thursday, sort by friday afternoon. Met my needs super quick! Great communication and an awesome team. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately due to lack of another option being the only local glass company we had a small but older style glass fitted by them. The admin’s phone manner rude and uninviting perhaps been in her job too long much like the glass fitter. They like to lead you to believe that they are just rushed off their feet and don’t hesitate to leave you waiting for hours at home on them with nothing more than a “ he’ll be around soon”. The workmanship fine enough for a so called “professional” although my father has done a similar home job which I should’ve have had him do if he weren’t deceased. Although having had to have them repair a second very small window it seems $100 is the minimum charge out price, thankfully we were mere metres from their office. The only real moan I have was when he damaged some lights we had set around our house that ran along the top of the window being replaced, therefore quite obvious it was his doing!!!! He had some how sliced the wiring in half while chiseling out the old filler, rendering them useless. In which I get these things can happen but annoyed that as he took my money and had a 5 min chat he decided to make no mention of the accident of which there could have been zero chance he wasn’t well aware unless he replaced the window with his eyes closed. If one damages another’s property whilst doing an unrelated job then the common courtesy would have been to let your customer know and idk maybe apologise. All for the want of that consideration I now have a poor taste in my mouth when I think of this company’s integrity and upon seeing his response it is with good reason! What a tool!
Got a big windscreen crack while driving our rental car on SH2 from Napier. The man was incredibly helpful. Explained that it didn’t need immediate repair and very kindly provided a cost estimate to compare with what we’ll have to pay when we turn it in. Thanks for all the help!
