Visited for waxing and eyebrow threading. Asked to maintain thickness and size, but she made my eyebrows thin. Unaccustomed to this look and disliking how it appeared on my face. Additionally, wax ended up in my hair. She then suggested an upper lip treatment, which I hadn't originally requested, but agreed to threading. During the process, her fingers and nails ended up in my mouth multiple times while working around my lips. I've been a regular here for years for Brazilian waxes, and I've noticed that every time I get served by Priya, she seems to have an attitude. My last visit on Monday was the worst by far. Interestingly, she was chatting and laughing happily with the client before me (who was also Indian), but as soon as I entered, her responses were short and she seemed irritated. She bluntly asked, 'What do you want?' After explaining, she prepared the room and left without checking if I was ready, just walking back in. During the waxing, she didn't bother to tighten the skin before pulling the strip, causing me to bleed for the first time. She's the only one in the salon who instructs me to hold certain areas during a Brazilian wax. When it was time for the back, she abruptly said, 'turn around.'
I've interacted with most other staff at this salon, and they've all been lovely, making the intimate waxing experience enjoyable. While my partner and I were browsing other items, he approached my child and scolded them for taking two coloring sheets from the DIY area, accusing my child of wasting paper. My child was frightened and refused to return to the DIY area, afraid of encountering that man again. As we passed by the DIY area with my child, the man approached us again and told my child not to take two coloring sheets. However, he himself took two coloring sheets for his own child. I informed him that he had frightened my child and that this matter was none of his concern. The man then began making discriminatory remarks and verbally attacked me personally. My most recent session was so rushed and if anything was just covered in oil and missed so many body parts, just felt like a normal massage… when requested for a sports/deep tissue massage. Paying $150 and being covered in oil just ain’t the one...About

--- ABSOLUTELY NEVER RETURNING HERE!! The worst experience as a first-time customer. Received a gifted Hifu full face and neck treatment - a deal for 1 session at $399. Upon arrival, informed it was only for a full face. Showed the voucher to the Kiwi lady assigned to my treatment, she still insisted it was not for full face and neck, but agreed to do the neck secretly - without her boss knowing. Only treated the face up to the jawline, neglecting the neck. Gel applied to the neck, but no further action. Constant talk of returning for a special price when the boss wasn't present. Highly disappointing given the cost of $399, with barely noticeable results post-treatment and days later, no evidence of any treatment received. Today I had an appointment with Cathie, it was my first time there and I went in asking for a well-needed trim/tidy up with a very natural face framing. I really emphasized on the natural as my hair is long and I personally don’t like it up around my face in general but also I need to tie it up for work. The initial hair cut was great until she started pulling my hair up and trimming away around my face. She showed me what she had done and I asked her if she could start the framing a little bit higher as it was past my chin. She starts trimming away but the way she was pulling my hair up I couldn't tell what it looked like or how short it was. After a while, I asked her to stop because I noticed one side was significantly higher than what I had asked for. I then began to explain to her that this was way too short, but as I'm looking closer, I realize she had cut the front chunk of my hair off. I'm obviously upset as I have very thin long hair with a chunk missing from the front. While still explaining, I'm crying and getting overwhelmed as she keeps dismissing what I am saying and kept telling me that this is what I asked for and she needed to finish it. She said blending it would help, and at one point she told me I asked for a fringe when I very clearly and repeatedly asked for natural face framing. I honestly don’t know how long this goes on for, but I'd say about 20 minutes of her dismissing everything I am saying and getting defensive, saying she knows what she’s doing and she's only trying to do what I asked. When I told her repeatedly she hasn’t done what I asked in the first place, the entire time she was trying to argue back with me instead of owning up to her mistake. Her general lack of professionalism honestly made me never want to go to a hairdresser again. I ended up asking to have one of the other ladies fix my hair as I did not trust her to touch my hair anymore. I didn’t catch the other lady's name, but she was so lovely and understanding, even agreeing with me that what Cathie had done wasn’t right. I would love to think it’s a one-off, but with the way she responded and her lack of professionalism, it makes it hard to think so. I don’t want to slander this place or Cathie. I just want to share my experience and let others know. I'm not quite sure if this is the new standard for hair salons or not, but I came in to get a professional tidy up and came out with butchered hair.
