Fantastic service, warm welcome & a stunning salon. My foot treatment was fine, but sadly, my luxury nail care was a tad underwhelming with air pockets visible under the paint, uneven application & a small cut that stung when sanitizer touched it, (photos provided). Uncertain if a gentle hand rub is part of the luxury nail care here unlike other salons, but I missed that, which is usually my favorite part. Overall, it was an average initial visit to this beauty spot.About

I recently started trying their services, beginning with a head massage, and I must admit the male masseur was exceptional (especially for head massages). I felt incredibly relaxed, and the head massage was truly rejuvenating. What a team! The female masseuses were equally fantastic. I also tried their full body Ayurveda massage. The female owner has always been very welcoming. This was my first experience at an Indian beauty salon, and now I'm a weekly visitor. Today I had an appointment with Cathie, it was my first time there and I went in asking for a well-needed trim/tidy up with a very natural face framing. I really emphasized on the natural as my hair is long and I personally don’t like it up around my face in general but also I need to tie it up for work. The initial hair cut was great until she started pulling my hair up and trimming away around my face. She showed me what she had done and I asked her if she could start the framing a little bit higher as it was past my chin. She starts trimming away but the way she was pulling my hair up I couldn't tell what it looked like or how short it was. After a while, I asked her to stop because I noticed one side was significantly higher than what I had asked for. I then began to explain to her that this was way too short, but as I'm looking closer, I realize she had cut the front chunk of my hair off. I'm obviously upset as I have very thin long hair with a chunk missing from the front. While still explaining, I'm crying and getting overwhelmed as she keeps dismissing what I am saying and kept telling me that this is what I asked for and she needed to finish it. She said blending it would help, and at one point she told me I asked for a fringe when I very clearly and repeatedly asked for natural face framing. I honestly don’t know how long this goes on for, but I'd say about 20 minutes of her dismissing everything I am saying and getting defensive, saying she knows what she’s doing and she's only trying to do what I asked. When I told her repeatedly she hasn’t done what I asked in the first place, the entire time she was trying to argue back with me instead of owning up to her mistake. Her general lack of professionalism honestly made me never want to go to a hairdresser again. I ended up asking to have one of the other ladies fix my hair as I did not trust her to touch my hair anymore. I didn’t catch the other lady's name, but she was so lovely and understanding, even agreeing with me that what Cathie had done wasn’t right. I would love to think it’s a one-off, but with the way she responded and her lack of professionalism, it makes it hard to think so. I don’t want to slander this place or Cathie. I just want to share my experience and let others know. I'm not quite sure if this is the new standard for hair salons or not, but I came in to get a professional tidy up and came out with butchered hair.
