Visited Vivo Botany on 7th April. Absolutely ecstatic with my new haircut by Ria! She absolutely nailed the style I was after, and the atmosphere in the salon was top-notch. Highly recommend!
I wanted to switch up my hairstyle after sticking with the same look for over 5 years. Just asked for some money piece highlights and a trim. Even showed her a photo for reference (she cut my hair way too short but I didn't say anything). The color turned out nothing like what I wanted, quite orange and very patchy after 2 different toning sessions. She suggested retoning my hair, told me to wash it as much as possible, and rebooked me for a week later. When I returned, she quoted another $260 to bleach and re-tone my hair. I was hesitant to pay again since my hair should've been what I asked for initially, or close to it, right? She proposed another toning session, assuring it would remove the orange tones and appear more ashy. After the toning, she calmed me down, saying it looks dark now but should turn ashy after blow-drying. Another stylist blow-dried my hair, and it was clear the money pieces were completely gone, back to my natural black hair color, as if I never colored it. She then had another stylist come talk to me after I expressed my dissatisfaction. The second stylist agreed it wasn't what I wanted at all, offering to fix it. I agreed to the appointment but will likely cancel. I've spent so much time at this salon, time I can't spare (mum of 2 young kids), and I don't want to be let down again. I came in to feel good about myself but left feeling terrible. Save your time, go elsewhere.
First time here and the vibe was so warm and inviting. Had a kerasilk treatment and a fresh cut, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Chocolates, coffee, or tea and a thoughtful aftercare gift as well! My hair was a tangled disaster, and Sonja did an amazing job! Thank you Sonja and the team! All set for a fresh start to the year :) Definitely recommend to others!
