I've been meaning to leave feedback for a while now. I strongly advise against getting any type of permanent or chemical hair straightening done here. In April, I booked an appointment for permanent straightening of my roots because I couldn't go to my usual hairdresser in Wellington. I've been straightening my hair for over 15 years without any issues. However, after leaving this salon, I noticed significant hair shedding. My hair was actually breaking, and I lost almost a third of my hair volume! My regular hairdressers mentioned that it could be due to poor product, technique, or leaving the product on for too long. When I contacted the salon, the stylist offered me half price on my next appointment, but I will never return. While I can't speak for their hair cutting services, I strongly recommend avoiding this place for any chemical hair treatments.
I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I'm really upset with my new haircut. It's been 7 years since I've had a haircut that I disliked this much. My head looks twice as wide with this new style, and it's not the style itself that I hate. If it had been cut properly, I might have actually liked it. The whole haircut just doesn't make sense. I paid $45 just to feel ugly. The hairdresser is nice but lacks the skill to create proper layers. I'll be going to another salon to fix it once my hair grows out. I won't be returning here. Never again!
