Service staff are so unhelpful. Finding a customer service rep is a mission. Trying to exchange a gift for a different size? Forget it, no receipt no exchange. Who gifts with receipts anyway? Wouldn't even lend an ear to customers. Good way to drive customers away, K Mart.
We drove from Auckland specifically for an item listed as available online. Found two, both damaged. Met an incredibly helpful team member who searched and found the item for us. Also assisted in locating other items. A true asset to the store. Went above and beyond. Recommended calling ahead, website not always accurate.
I used to enjoy K mart but the self-checkout, receipt check, and feeling like a criminal on exit routine has me avoiding this store. Other shops don't do this. If you're concerned about checkout quality - the CUSTOMERS - then hire someone for this task.
