Absolutely avoid that place. I've never been so inclined to leave a negative review, but they were incredibly rude. They kept messing up basic gels, buffing them off, and redoing them without proper nail prep (my cuticles ended up ripped and sticking up). To make matters worse, one of them even picked at their ear (which seemed to have an infected piercing) halfway through without sanitizing their hands 🤢. The whole experience felt rushed, so I went to Ruby Nails to have them fixed - and they did an amazing job, by the way.
I had heard great things about this place, so I was disappointed by my visit. I paid $80 for a simple French tip and even showed a photo of what I wanted. I'm usually not picky, but I regret spending that much for a rushed set that wasn't what I asked for. I thought $80 was too much for just basic French tip nails. I even double-checked the prices before confirming my choice. The sign said acrylics were $65, so I asked if French tips were $80 (including the $5 gem). I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding, but it felt more complicated than necessary. I went to another nail salon downtown, asked for a basic French tip with two gems, and it only cost me $70 ($65 for acrylics and $5 for gems). That's what I was expecting to pay - $80 here is just too steep. Most of the gems have already fallen off, and the nail technician didn't speak to me at all. She was too rough on my nails, and now they're sore. The French tips were rushed, and you can see my nail bed under the pink coat. While this might appeal to others, it wasn't what I wanted for the price I paid. I'm giving it two stars because she added more gems than I asked for, which I noticed when checking the prices again. The lady who trimmed my nails was nice :)). A simple "hi, how are you?" would have made my experience a bit better. She didn't say anything to me at all. I understand it was busy, but if I'm paying that much for nails, I expect to get what I asked for, not this. It feels like I'm wearing press-on nails.
Had a fantastic experience with the dip powder service today! Not sure who my technician was, but thank you so much!!! They look absolutely lovely. The service was efficient, the ladies were very friendly, and I ended up with a lovely manicure.
