I’m not a fan of gyms, but I joined BFT last year for an 8 week challenge after the partner got me interested in it. Happy to say I’ve never looked back. Great trainers and great people. I mulled over getting laser eye surgery for years, juggling young tamariki and sports. I despised the constant need for glasses and contacts. Now, 1 moon post LASIK, it's hands down the best decision ever. The surgery was incredibly quick, in and out within what felt like 30 minutes, and 5 hours later my eyes were clear and my vision perfect. The change was unbelievable. Dr. Te Aroha Hall was very informative, and the follow-up care and appointments have been straightforward. Feeling a bit let down... I was thrilled at my 12-week ultrasound, the woman I had then was so cheerful and delightful to chat with. But last week I went in for my 20-week scan with my family, eager to find out the gender... A different woman conducted the scan & she was rather impolite, complaining about her long week and it being a Friday afternoon... Essentially displaying a "let's just get this over with" type of attitude. It dampened my excitement for the rest of the scan, I felt deflated & when she revealed the gender, I was already feeling numb from her demeanor. It soured the rest of our evening and the upcoming weekend, we ended up not doing anything or sharing the news as we had planned. I probably won't return here in the future, which is unfortunate as my wonderful midwife had nothing but praise for you all! To the person who conducted my 12-week scan, you're amazing! But to the rude lady, please don't let your mood or personal issues affect your work, be kind to people because you may not know what some of us have gone through to reach this point & be excited about a baby. Upon arriving at the salon, I was informed that she was absent as she had to accompany her father somewhere. Later, it was mentioned that she was feeling unwell. I had to opt for another stylist to do my hair and ended up paying more than the initial agreement. During my visit, another client arrived for a scheduled eyebrow appointment and had to wait for about 30 minutes.
