To get to Te Whare Makawe - Hair on Campus in Porirua from the Porirua City Centre, you can take the number 2 bus towards Whitby and get off at the Porirua Train Station. From there, it's a short walk along Wi Neera Drive to reach the salon at 3 Wi Neera Drive. If driving, head south on Hagley Street, turn right onto Norrie Street, continue onto Parumoana Street, then turn left onto Wi Neera Drive to reach the salon.

I am not happy with the service. I had to wait 45 minutes for the service even though I had made an appointment in advance. I went for the second most expensive hairdresser (Vinitha) and regret my decision as my haircut is nowhere near to any of the reference photos I had shown. The more I look at it the more it annoys me. I have a chunk of hair on my left scalp just chopped off like I was trying to get rid of a chewing gum stuck in the hair.
Also, I was asked to pay more than the price mentioned on the website and a $3 charge I don't know for what. Purchased the Spark smart E10. The worst phone ever, a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend buying it. You'd be better off with a brick phone, as it lags so much and struggles to load pages most of the time. If it does load, it takes a very long time. The photo quality is terrible. Impressed by the variety of stores at North City. Opted to do all my shopping at North City Shopping Centre instead of heading into Wellington City Centre and had a very satisfying experience. Saved a lot of time with everything I needed in close proximity. I scheduled an appointment here to get highlights in my hair! Just wanted to say the lady who did it & im so sorry I have forgotten your name, was absolutely wonderful to deal with throughout the whole way, Only took about 45 mins -1 hour but everything was explained really well & the end result was suburb! I think I will go back here to eventually get the rest of my hair done. The color just looks wonderful though, & the banter here is great, feels like a family when you walk in here.
