Incredible! This golf course embodies the essence of golfing. Impeccable greens, welcoming locals, fantastic clubhouse, and a unique challenge on every hole that guides you through the dunes. One of the finest in NZ and undoubtedly world-class. Give it a try, and you'll be pleased you did!
Incredible Course - A Must-Play in New Zealand!
Tee boxes were impeccably maintained, and the fairways were exceptional. The transition from fairway to rough was clearly defined, but straying from the fairway led to challenging situations! Strategic play is crucial—understanding the driving lines for approach shots is key. For first-timers, I suggest teaming up with a club member for guidance. The real test comes in hitting the greens in the right spots—there's plenty of roll-off that can impact your score, as I experienced on the sixteenth par 3. The black sand bunkers were top-notch, and the greens were impeccably kept, offering excellent pace and roll. I would gladly transplant these greens to my home course! The preservation of natural vegetation and wetlands was also impressive. Overall, this course is a must-visit for any golfer in New Zealand!
