I am reluctant to praise the exceptional work of Dr. Patel further as it is already difficult to secure an appointment with him due to high demand. Dr. Patel has been my dermatologist for almost 20 years, and I cannot speak more highly of every aspect of his care. He has skillfully diagnosed and removed various grades of skin cancer. He is an outstanding professional with a remarkable approach to his practice; thorough and knowledgeable. During the lockdowns, he also diagnosed and removed skin cancers from my elderly mother's legs. The fact that they did not develop ulcers post-surgery was once again a result of his diligent follow-up care. I switched to Dr. Patel's care based on the recommendation of my employer, following extremely negative experiences with another local dermatologist. I have never regretted making that change.
I'm worried about the effectiveness of the mole removal treatment I received from Dr. Chang Yun Lin. After several appointments spaced 5-6 months apart, the mole remains. Despite the application of dry ice for a brief period by Dr. Lin, I have not observed the desired outcome. The cost of each appointment seems steep, given the brevity of the treatment. I would appreciate discussing alternative options or a revised treatment plan with Dr. Lin, as the expected results have not been achieved.
The receptionist for Dr. Toby Gunson is unhelpful and impolite. If I could, I would rate a negative star. I phoned yesterday, inquired with the receptionist if Dr. Gunson would accept a new patient, and sought to schedule an appointment for my son to see Dr. Gunson before 1st March (prior to the commencement of the first semester) if feasible. She instructed me to complete the online appointment request form, which I promptly did. Today, I called again out of concern for my son. She informed me that no appointments were available before 1st March, and the earliest slot would be in May or June. While not ideal, I was prepared to accept it. However, she suggested my son see another specialist and claimed that Dr. Gunson was not taking on new patients. I am skeptical of this assertion because when I inquired whether Dr. Gunson would accept a new patient, she did not explicitly decline and simply directed me to fill out an online appointment form!
