Dreadful experience! This hair salon botched my balayage request, leaving me with glaringly bright blonde streaks and a harsh line between that and my natural color. When I returned for a fix, they ended up dyeing my entire roots, completely missing the mark on balayage. Now, the regrowth is a disaster! I only come here in a pinch when I haven’t planned ahead & it's so close to home. This would be my 5th visit in the last two years & the service is subpar as usual. I travel to and from Australia for work, so I had an unexpected event and had to visit chic nails in Meadowbank for both a pedicure and a manicure. 💅🏻 $55 for a pedicure & $55 for a manicure. So I shelled out $110 which is a rip-off. Other salons in Auckland charge $40-$50 for a pedicure & between $45-$60 for a manicure. Cannot recommend Tane enough! I had been away from the service for a few years (covid did not help) and needed serious help with my eyebrows. Tane was patient, helpful, and so glad that he overhauled my eyebrows vs just going over my old markings. The amount of time he took to remeasure and re-do was phenomenal. To make this experience even better? Painless. Tane always made sure to check on my pain levels and stopped when needed to and reset. The outcome of my experience and eyebrows?? Flawless. Tane is an absolute magician. I have also had a lot of compliments on my eyebrows and enquiries on where I had them done. Directed them straight to this clinic and Tane. Inadequate communication. Staff turnover is incessant - a fresh caregiver each visit. My initial encounter with the first caregiver was splendid, no issues, seamless procedure. However, following her resignation, subsequent caregivers (some possibly still in training at the Caci academy??) left me with persistent headaches for a week. When I raised concerns about the headaches, I was informed it was standard.
An invoice was never dispatched, and when I sought to adjust my membership for fewer treatments annually, they refused to do so over the phone or schedule a consultation for modification. I was instructed to pay more before making any changes.
While the staff were amicable when I was making payments, their demeanor turned rude and unpleasant when I inquired about the headaches and requested alterations to my membership! I will never return here. Utterly disrespectful.About
