What a dreadful ordeal. I made a reservation about six weeks ago after seeing their rave reviews, clearly explaining my preferences in advance. When I arrived (punctual) on the day, the woman (whom I assume is the proprietor) informed me she didn't have time for my request due to the holiday rush and rushed me to pick something else. She then proceeded to give me a completely different treatment from what I had asked for. I wanted SNS but got gel, she caused discomfort to my cuticles and botched a French design. There was excessive glue residue on my nails that felt unpleasant, with the excuse that she couldn't see properly (?). The nail finish was shoddy, resembling the work of a novice. I shelled out 90 NZD for that!! The letdown was beyond words. Lovely friendly lasses but issue persists with language barrier. They struggle to grasp your requests or acknowledge dissatisfaction. Gel nails were hastily done. Uneven and polish not reaching ends and sides. I specifically inquired if the chosen colour would be opaque to conceal my tips but thin coats left see-through patches. Despite expressing my discontent, I was dismissed. I surrender! I decided to get my nails done as a treat for the holiday season- I chose this spot due to the raving reviews.
Unfortunately, I am gutted with how my nails turned out. The person who did my nails was kind and chatty but the work was not worth $75 of my hard earned money.
I have been left with lopsided, texturised and uneven nails-see photos for more.

This was my first visit to the land of nails, and I must say, it was truly a delightful experience! The individuals here are incredibly warm and welcoming. They executed my nail art with such ease and care, ensuring not to rush through it, which ultimately made the entire process quite relaxing. I am definitely looking forward to returning for my next gel x set! Stunning! I picked Nail Oasis because of the reviews and wasn’t let down. Sarah was fabulous and my nails (Polygel with tip) are spot-on. The Pink & White Airbrush Ombré is choice as well. Several mates are now booked in after seeing them! The pics don’t do them justice as the colour is better in real life but will give you an idea. 🥰About

Had a hair coloring done here and while the color was great, the customer service was average and the color faded the next day despite me not using any harsh products etc. I went back a few days later and they did fix the color free of charge. I only come here in a pinch when I haven’t planned ahead & it's so close to home. This would be my 5th visit in the last two years & the service is subpar as usual. I travel to and from Australia for work, so I had an unexpected event and had to visit chic nails in Meadowbank for both a pedicure and a manicure. 💅🏻 $55 for a pedicure & $55 for a manicure. So I shelled out $110 which is a rip-off. Other salons in Auckland charge $40-$50 for a pedicure & between $45-$60 for a manicure.
