Is Countdown in the running for the title of the worst supermarket in the world? Their quality, pricing, and variety of products are all subpar, but at least they are consistently disappointing. However, the staff members are awesome.
Heaps of parking available. The place is spotless and the team is super friendly. This New Zealand supermarket recently underwent a renovation, giving it a modern and well-organized look. They have dedicated aisles for gluten-free, vegan, and healthy food options. Opening early and closing late, this store plays a vital role in supporting the Meadowbank shopping centre.
It's really frustrating to discover the items neatly arranged on the shelves with lower price tags, only to find out at the checkout that the prices are completely different, sometimes even double the amount. The so-called promotions seem to be deceiving. My advice is to carefully read all the labels while shopping at these supermarkets and not assume that the displayed price is accurate just because it's below the product.
