Bought a small tank for my daughter a couple of weeks back. Was told to let it cycle, which we did. Went with my daughter to buy a fish yesterday, only to be informed that we needed to bring a water sample before we could purchase a fish. I understand the logic behind this, but it wasn't mentioned when we bought the tank. There was little understanding for the fact that we lived 1.5 hours away and had made a wasted trip. Maybe if it's a store rule, you should communicate this when selling tanks. That way, I could have saved my gas for a 3-hour round trip, and my daughter wouldn't have been so let down. Poor customer service. I can't find anything on the website indicating this policy for fish purchases and have never had to do this for any of the fish in my ar980t.
