Definitely one of the top facials I've had in a year! By chance I came across this handsome gentleman, I tried other salons in the area but they were fully booked, and so my search led me to Daos. He accommodated a last-minute facial booking for me, as I was on my last day in Wellington and had an hour to spare. It's absolutely worth the money I paid, even though his partner quoted $60 for a full facial over the phone, and I even got my eyebrows waxed for $15 making it $85, but I was just so pleased I didn't mind! In fact, he should consider raising his prices to be fair! Definitely visit here, lovely ambiance, private and professional, he even gave me skincare tips. Worth every dollar and more! I looked like I'd shed some years walking out of there, I wish he was here in Christchurch!About

I visited to have my lip, chin, and brows waxed/threaded. I've had bad experiences in the past in Wellington, so I've gone months without grooming my brows. Due to my past experiences, I always clearly explain what I want - just a tidy up, no shaping, and definitely no thinning or rounding at the front/middle. The lady just nodded and proceeded. When she finished, it was so awful I almost cried. My brow was cut, and she had excessively thinned my left brow. I couldn't believe the poor job she did. While waxing my lip and chin, the wax was spread over my lips, which was very frustrating, and she even blew on the wax, which is unhygienic. Afterward, I had little pimples around my chin and lip.
I was offered a free henna to fix the brow because the lady admitted she did a terrible job, but the henna wore off, and the damage was done. Just had my premier experience at the salon with my untouched thick Māori hair! Could not have gone anywhere better. I ended up with an amazing hair stylist named JEM! He had instantly calmed my nerves and was very direct and professional the whole duration of the 4 hours it took to get my hair done. I went for a kerasilk treatment with a layered hair cut and curtain bangs! Jem was such a perfectionist going over and beyond my expectations!! I kid you not that in those 4 hours I was probably on my phone for like 10mins, that’s how much me and Jem were talking hehe.
