Just had my premier experience at the salon with my untouched thick Māori hair! Could not have gone anywhere better. I ended up with an amazing hair stylist named JEM! He had instantly calmed my nerves and was very direct and professional the whole duration of the 4 hours it took to get my hair done. I went for a kerasilk treatment with a layered hair cut and curtain bangs! Jem was such a perfectionist going over and beyond my expectations!! I kid you not that in those 4 hours I was probably on my phone for like 10mins, that’s how much me and Jem were talking hehe. I feel I have gained a good friend and I’m so excited to make this a regular occurrence, so I’m already booked in 6 weeks to come 🥰🥰 In Jem’s words “slayyy and treat yourself” 🤌✨✨
I agree with Te Aroha’s rating regarding the Kerasilk hair treatment. I spent $214 plus shampoo/conditioner $100, which is reasonable for a keratin treatment. However, After leaving the product in for 4 days, I washed my hair and it went straight back to its original curly state. I have had a keratin treatment done by a senior hairdresser at another salon before and the treatment kept my hair straight for 3 months. I felt the young employee lacked the skills/experience to achieve this.
Jem was great! Love my bleach, tone and cut! They listened and took pride in their work. They just let me relax and chill while the whole process was going on. Recommend going to see Jem!
