Responding to a positive local community fb post, optimistically, I booked a $99 manicure and pedicure. Red flags were... Someone else's toenail clippings on the floor. Gross! A basic foot spa instead of the usual professional one with plumbing. No expected foot scrub to remove thickened heel skin Nails filed back and forth with a dirty file and cut unevenly. Two overly thick layers of polish on toes Noticed after five minutes on the fingernails that used, unsterilized equipment...clippers, old worn files Upon returning home, had to remove the poor-quality polish, after negotiating a $50 refund for the most basic job. This is a careless and unprofessional operation. No certifications from NZARBP so uncertain if anyone is qualified.
I've had two appointments so far. First was with Harper for a Gel X manicure and second was Gel X infill with Charlie. Both did an amazing job and were very attentive and precise. I've been to some places in the past like Glamour Nails who have been so rough due to rushing. Highly recommend Kiwi Nails & Beauty!
I had a very pleasant first experience with Sky. Returned for a Sns with another delightful technician, she was quite pleasant however she lacked proper training for SNS and I left after 2 hours spent in the salon quite dissatisfied with the quality of my nails…( beneath my nails full of glue and untidy, 2 nails lack shine, one technician left finger marks on my nails while checking if they were dry and it's very noticeable, irregular shape …) I did request for a few things to be fixed but unfortunately I couldn't stay longer than 2 hours for a manicure as I had to go to work …
