Fantastic team...from the front desk staff to the nurses and doctors. Compassionate, lovely bunch of people. Thank you for taking care of me.
I strongly advise against this medical centre as my sibling is in hospital due to a lower back issue from 13 years ago that was initially assessed at the Avon medical centre 13 years back! They dismissed it as a whiplash injury and sent her home with pain meds, despite her numerous hospital and doctor visits over the years resulting in temporary relief only. This month, she woke up unable to walk or move and was hospitalized, only to find out she needs a surgery that might leave her unable to walk or with no sensation from her hips down. This negligence is unacceptable and appalling, as this injury could have been caught earlier and prevented! The Avon medical staff and doctors have failed my sister, and it's heartbreaking that at just 26, she faces the possibility of never walking due to the incompetence of Avon medical care and staff. This is unacceptable!
Using this service is like exploring a kiwi fruit orchard. You never know what you'll find. It's a bit hit & miss. On average, I receive about 7 out of 10 in terms of healthcare knowledge and support. I'm giving a shoutout to TRN & NP, you lot are awesome. I've been dealing with respiratory issues for almost 10 weeks now. No resolution yet. Had to head to Hawera ED for treatment 😪 received top-notch care there with 5-star 🌟 🤩 treatment. Finally got a referral to outpatient services, which is a relief. One thing that bothers me is the constant demand for money, and the threat that refusing payment will hinder care. We're facing a silent struggle and a living cost crisis exacerbated by covid.
