Just came back from a half day afternoon tour with Sam around Wellington! She was a fun, very knowledgeable tour guide with a great sense of humor! She definitely loves what she does and it shows! Thank you Sam for suggesting we stop by Mount Victoria Lookout. Beautiful place to visit and close to our hotel.
I did the 8 hour Wellington tour. It was marvelous. I was having trouble booking online because I was a solo traveler and I rang and spoke to Jack the owner of the company and he happily got me onto the tour of the next day. Dylan was our driver, and she was fantastic very knowledgeable of the area and good fun. The tour included all the sites of Wellington as well as a wine tasting at one of the local wineries and then lunch at the historic Thorndon hotel. It also included some World War II tunnels and guns up on the headlands. It was truly a splendid day. I would highly recommend doing the tour, especially if you’re short on time in Wellington.
We had a delightful half day tour of Wellington with Sam. She picked us up directly from our hotel downtown and we stopped at another location to pick people up from the cruise ship that was in town. She was very friendly and had lots of good information to share about Wellington. She was willing to help take pictures wherever we stopped. There was a nice amount of driving and walking around. For people with mobility restrictions, this tour may not be the best but some of the people on our tour stayed back on the bus while we walked around. The bus itself is very crammed in if it is at full capacity but the ability to get out and walk around helps with that! Overall a wonderful experience.
