This is the only Noel Leeming store in Taupo and has great shopping experience as rest of the store nation wide. The staff is friendly and helpful and has all the electronic gadgets, accessories and household items you need. We stopped here on Boxing day and it was really good experience. We were in and out of the shop in 10 minutes. We got what we wanted and it was done so fast.
Was in there with a mate, we both had stuff to buy standing side by side at the counter. She got served then the sales lady walked away and left me (to serve someone else). A second sales lady walked up with a customer and served them instead of me at the till I was standing at. I felt invisible when I was standing right at the counter. Shocking service. I saw many people that were waiting just walk out. Avoid this place, shop online or out of town!
How the Taupo Noel Leemings store lost a $700 sale on Saturday the 24th August 2024. Hi I am writing on behalf of my father in-law and to let you know why the Taupo store lost a 6 to $700 sale on Saturday the 24th August 2024. He has been a regular customer over his life and has brought many appliances and whiteware in that time also. One of his more recent purchases was a computer where I witnessed staff ignore and be impatuent with an 88 year old man. He walked in on Saturday just been to purchase a new toaster, jug, and microwave he had measurements of the microwave so he could make sure it fit. After much waiting to be acknowledged and served was greeted with an impatient and rude young retail assistant , the elderly gentlemen who could sense in this sales assistant a lack of interest and common courtesy to a customers inquiries said maybe I should go to Briscos or Farmers to buy these items. Unbelievable nut the assistant said yes. So he walked out and went to farmers was greeted respectfully and he felt like a valued customer. $700 later he purchased what he required. Taupo store respect the elderly.
