I scheduled an appointment with Te Aroha while in Rotorua for a break and she was outstanding. She was very detailed in my consultation and managed my expectations realistically. She did a fantastic job especially since she was dealing with a color correction from a darker shade before. Forgot to snap a before pic so used an old one to show how bad my regrowth was and how coppery the previous color looked.
I would absolutely come back to the salon and highly recommend Te Aroha. Mere (the salon manager) was also really warm and took the time to introduce herself and chat about where I was from, which was lovely. Big thanks to the team ♥️About

Had an uncomfortable experience, lacking professionalism in certain aspects. Noticed tension between them and their partner during discussions in Te Reo Māori. Disappointed by the lack of consultation, delayed timings, and not receiving the home address beforehand. Felt rushed, and received advice on skin complexion after the tattoo was completed, not before. Despite following their work for years and having high expectations, the final piece didn't meet my hopes. Regretful that my first Ta moko, meant to be deeply meaningful, didn't turn out as expected. While the tattoo is beautiful, it doesn't evoke pride or positive feedback. Considering options like laser removal or seeking help elsewhere to rectify it. This is simply my personal experience, no ill will towards them or their work. Visited this place with a mate who was keen on getting their nose pierced. The bloke at the counter was so rude it was almost comical. They went ahead with the piercing anyway as it was the only spot in town for nose piercings. It's a shame because the shop has a bunch of cool stuff, but now I regret going in...
