She was delightful and did an amazing job cutting and styling my hair with beautiful curls. My partner was full of praise. Definitely recommend.

I scheduled an appointment with Te Aroha while in Rotorua for a break and she was outstanding. She was very detailed in my consultation and managed my expectations realistically. She did a fantastic job especially since she was dealing with a color correction from a darker shade before. Forgot to snap a before pic so used an old one to show how bad my regrowth was and how coppery the previous color looked.
I would absolutely come back to the salon and highly recommend Te Aroha. Mere (the salon manager) was also really warm and took the time to introduce herself and chat about where I was from, which was lovely. Big thanks to the team ♥️About

Absolutely phenomenal. I wish I could give more stars. Upon arrival, I had a panic attack (a common occurrence for me), and Charlotte noticed, offered to style my hair in a quieter area away from the crowd, and continuously offered me water while engaging in conversation. I came in with a disastrous DIY bleach job resulting in uneven yellow patches. Charlotte suggested a darker root with a blonde ombre, and I left incredibly happy with my hair. I had long hair and decided to get a haircut. I asked for a healthy trim, face-framing layers, and sought advice on adding layers. I was informed the cut would reach my mid-back. However, I ended up with shoulder-length hair (shorter than expected), uneven thick layers, and the stylist, Anita, displayed a passive-aggressive attitude. I returned a few days later to another stylist named Tia, who fixed the uneven layers and cleaned up the mess left behind. Tia even discovered 4cm pieces cut in the previous appointment and handled the situation with empathy. Though I now have shoulder-length hair with uneven patches, I had a positive experience with Tia. I do not recommend Anita, but the other staff members were pleasant.About

Especially my voluminous mane, originally a fiery redhead with hair cascading down to my waist. Over the years, I've shown J countless hairstyle inspirations - trendy, last-minute, up-to-the-minute cuts. J has consistently delivered. As I've aged, I've maintained my ginger hues but J incorporates blonde foils to add a soft touch, as one should with time. In November 2022, due to work changes, I had to move to Hamilton. Despite the distance, I remain loyal, making the trek to Taupo every 5 weeks. She's top-notch, nails the cuts, colors, and isn't afraid to steer you away from a style that won't suit, providing alternatives or adjustments.
