Opted for the basic paitan broth miso ramen while my partner tried the paitan salt ramen. I now wish I had chosen the salt version as the miso came off a tad too robust for my liking. Upon sampling some of the salt version, it struck the perfect flavor balance without being overpowering. The charred pork belly was a delightful mix of rich and lean meat.
Ramen Chidori in Auckland is a gem! Their ramen is top-notch—bursting with flavors and truly traditional. The dumplings and takoyaki are also scrumptious. The team is warm and fosters a hospitable ambiance. For enthusiasts of Japanese cuisine, this establishment is a must-visit!
Both karaage and takoyaki were handcrafted and incredibly tasty, and katsudon was a reminiscent of a native Japanese dish. Next visit, I'll delve into their ramen. If you're in Auckland craving Japanese fare, do drop by.
