Had her first tattoo done at this studio 3 weeks before today's visit.
Told the guy at the front desk we were making a detour via Mount Maunganui (1.5h) to catch a flight to Wellington, but the owner showed no empathy or concern for the customer, regarding a touch-up that would have taken just minutes (tattoo size was only 20mm).
After mentioning our travel plans, his response was: "Tattoo looks good, safe travels."

All the whānau we met at Bohemian Moko Arts were very friendly. Their marae is very clean, tidy, and relaxing. Matias did our moko and he is a great guy! Very whanaunga and mōhio. He made my first moko experience an enjoyable one. Our whānau of 4 had matching moko. He drew up a design once we gave him a general idea of what we wanted. He came back after about 15 minutes of drawing up a sketch and oh my gosh all our mouths dropped. It was so cool! It was amazing! Just what we wanted. I highly recommend this place for your next moko. I am already thinking about my next moko next year when we come back to Aotearoa. I will definitely have Matias draw it up again. My mate and I got ankle ink done. Both softies but Sarah and Liam made it a breeze. Their eye for detail was top-notch and they truly grasped our vision and nailed it. Their talent and professionalism were superb. Would absolutely return for more. Shared a few good chuckles and both departed elated.
