Always exceptional service at Vivo Upper Hutt. All the folks are fantastic. I only visit the salon around twice a year and always leave content. I had a pleasant chat with Willow during my last appointment. The online booking system could use some improvements as my messages never seem to reach the salon. Some time back, I scheduled 2 appointments under my name and mentioned in the notes that one was for my mum (visiting from overseas), yet my second appointment got canceled somehow. Absolutely enjoyed my haircut here, I have wavy hair and they were extremely knowledgeable about different hair textures and how to manage them. Will definitely return as there are not many experts for wavy hair in Auckland! How can i get there
To get to Nyx Hair Design at 30 Camp Street, Silverstream, Upper Hutt 5018, New Zealand by public transport, take bus number 110 from Wellington Railway Station and get off at the stop near Fergusson Drive. From there, walk south on Fergusson Drive, turn left onto Whitemans Road, then right onto Camp Street where you will find Nyx Hair Design on your left. If driving, head north on State Highway 2, turn left onto Fergusson Drive, then left onto Whitemans Road, and finally right onto Camp Street where Nyx Hair Design is located.

Folks, don't waste your cash, I visited this salon based on reviews for a balayage treatment. They charged me $220 and completely ruined my hair. I lost all my previously healthy hair, now it looks like a mishandled mess.
Each strand has a different color, my hair appears patchy with grassy and grey-blond hues.
Their lack of professionalism is evident - they don't even know how to properly blow dry hair. Their dryers are of poor quality and they use only one brush, resulting in lackluster results.
Upon returning home, my hair started falling out. I suspect they left bleach on my already treated hair for too long, causing it to break off.
Please avoid wasting your time, money, and most importantly, your hair. I've attached photos from the same day so you can see the disaster that passed off as balayage 🥹🥹
I'm at a loss on how to deal with my damaged and patchy hair. I've tried numerous masks, Olaplex treatments, and even attempted coloring it at home, but nothing has helped in restoring my hair.
