A lifesaver on Queen's Birthday morning when most other cafes were shut. The beef and bacon sausage roll was lean and filling; as was the bacon and cheese scone. Don't forget to grab some extra tomato sauce for the scone!
A friend's recommended cafe and it truly lived up to the hype... eggs on toast were outstanding.... may not sound like much but that sourdough bread was truly exceptional, flavorful, delightful, scrumptious, and the eggs were scrambled to perfection. The small hot chocolate was also a good size which was satisfying.
Great vegan choices: post 2 pm, all cabinet food is half price! The ambiance is fantastic, feels so roomy. Just as anticipated from this spot, it exudes a historic feel: calm, amusing, and just right.
